こんにちは！山形県にある朝日中学校で、私たちの地元の食材「アケビ」を用いた郷土料理についてお話しする機会をいただきました。特に昨年度のアケビレシピコンテストでグランプリを受賞した「アケビとナスの甘酢和え」を、生徒の皆さんや教職員の方々に試食いただきました。マヨネーズを足してみたり、「おばあちゃんの味がする！」と感激されたりと、多様な反応をいただき、とても嬉しく思いました。
また、朝日町食生活改善推進委員会では、子供たちの食育や高齢者の低栄養予防など、様々な活動を展開しています。ぜひ、一緒に多様な取り組みに参加し、地域社会への貢献を始めてみませんか？あなたの参加を心よりお待ちしています。

Hello! I had the opportunity to speak at Asahi Junior High School in Yamagata Prefecture about local cuisine using our local ingredient, Akebia japonica. In particular, I had the students and faculty sample my “Akebia and Eggplant with Sweet and Sour Dressing,” which won the grand prize in last year’s Akebia Recipe Contest. I was delighted to receive such diverse reactions, from students trying it with mayonnaise to students exclaiming, “It tastes just like grandma’s!”
The Asahi Town Food Life Improvement Promotion Committee also carries out various activities, including nutrition education for children and preventing malnutrition among the elderly.
