祖先を偲ぶ特別な朝
今日は彼岸の最終日です。山形の西村山郡朝日町では、伝統的にアケビのお船に祖先の御霊を乗せて送り出します。こうした古き良き慣習が続いているのは素晴らしいことですね。
古くからの風習は、私たちにとって大切な文化財であり、今を生きる私たちの日常に豊かさをもたらします。地域の歴史とともに、こうした習慣を次の世代にも受け継いでいきたいと感じます。
今見ている景色の中には、長い時をかけて培われた知恵と心があります。それを次の人々へと引き継ぐことが、私たちの責任でもあります。
このように、伝統や文化を大切にし、未来の世代へと繋いでいくことに、皆さんのお力添えをお待ちしています。
A Special Morning to Remember Our Ancestors
Today is the last day of Higan. In Asahi Town, Nishimurayama District, Yamagata, it is traditional to send off the spirits of ancestors by placing them on a boat made from akebi. It is wonderful that these old, cherished customs are still being continued.
Long-standing traditions are important cultural assets for us, and they bring richness to our everyday lives. Along with the region’s history, I feel we should pass these customs on to the next generation.
Within the scenery we see today, there exists the wisdom and spirit cultivated over a long period of time. Passing that on to the next people is also our responsibility.
In this way, I look forward to your help as we cherish our traditions and culture, and connect them to the generations of the future.
